As a cigar aficionado, I’m always on the lookout for exceptional lounges that offer a unique experience. My recent visit to the Geneva Davidoff Cigar Lounge in Brooklyn, NYC exceeded all expectations and left me thoroughly impressed. I was on a day long layover on my way to Las Vegas from Koh Samui Thailand. I thought why not stop by and have a Davidoff No.1 LE and pick up some avos for the trip to Vegas and maybe grab a NY slice too.
Upon entering the lounge, I was immediately struck by its elegant and inviting atmosphere. The interior boasted a tasteful blend of modern design elements and classic cigar lounge aesthetics. The plush leather seating, dimmed lighting, and carefully curated artwork with large TVs and tables scattered about the lounge; all contributed to an ambiance that exuded sophistication and comfort without being too intimidating for a novice customer.
The lounge’s well-stocked humidor showcased an impressive selection of cigars, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Obviously, this is a Davidoff lounge, so I was most attracted to those offerings. Unfortunately they were out of the new LE No.1 so I settled for a No.2 and a handful of signature series, Avos, and a couple hard to find Padron Sobreanos. From the highly sought-after limited editions to the perennial favorites, the knowledgeable staff was always on hand to assist in selecting the perfect smoke. Their expertise and passion for cigars were evident as they offered valuable recommendations and engaging conversations about the art of cigar enjoyment.
Unfortunately, the lounge is BYOB (Bring your own booze). However, there is a great deli within walking distance where I personally stocked up on Topo Chicos and a large Italian BMT with a double espresso. The lounge does have some water and soft drinks available for purchase.
What truly set Geneva Davidoff Cigar Lounge apart was the impeccable level of service. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about providing an outstanding experience. They ensured that each guest felt welcomed and comfortable, attentively catering to their needs without ever being intrusive.
The seating arrangements within the lounge were well-spaced, providing ample room for privacy and conversation. The lounge did not offer a designated outdoor smoking area. However, the smoking lounge was so nice who would want to stay outside in generally cold and overcast NYC weather.
One aspect that stood out to me was the lounge’s dedication to hosting events and fostering a sense of community. From exclusive cigar tastings to educational seminars, they consistently provided engaging opportunities for cigar enthusiasts to connect and expand their knowledge.
Overall, Geneva Davidoff Cigar Lounge in Brooklyn, NYC is a haven for cigar connoisseurs. The exquisite selection of cigars, delightful drinks, refined ambiance, and exceptional service combine to create an unparalleled experience. Whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or a newcomer to the world of cigars, this lounge offers a warm welcome and an unforgettable journey of sensory delight.
