Romeo y Julieta is a renowned Cuban cigar brand with a rich history that dates back to 1875. Once upon a time this cigar was crowned as the “short churchill” before the short, wide and petit churchill vitolas were released. Now with those infamous churchill variations from the original RYJ churchill, the exhibicion No. 4 has fallen by the wayside. However, this cigar is one of my favorite from Romeo y Julieta brand, and remains a staple in my collection. In 10 years, this vitola will be harder to find and became a vintage classic.

The cigar opens with a smooth and creamy profile, accompanied by notes of cedar and a hint of nuttiness. With its rich history and flavorful profile, this cigar warrants a well-deserved score of 92 out of 100. Most of the boxes found now a days are aged by a few years. I have not smoked this vitola straight out of the box but have had the pleasure of smoking several aged 5-7 years. They are as good as Romeo y Julietas get.
